This is a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of many in our communities. Ricky (7th), Nolan (3rd) and Benny (3rd) Bird's little brother Zeke is three years old, is absolutely amazing and happens to have Down syndrome. Kayven (5th) Seller's little sister Aleia is five years old, is equally amazing and also has Down syndrome. Down syndrome occurs when there are three copies of the 21st chromosome and therefore World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on 3/21.
On Wednesday, March 20th, our Casual for a Cause will be donated to https://amaZingZ.org which was inspired by little Zeke. They raise money for Ruby's Rainbow who grants scholarships to adults with Down syndrome who are going to COLLEGE and to Reece's Rainbow who provides adoption grants for orphans with Down syndrome and other special needs. In the past two years, they've been able to help bring two orphans home and grant two scholarships to a couple of amazing young men.
