Introducing our new Third Grade Teacher, Ms. Ohashi

“Hello Saint Olaf Community,

My name is Madison Ohashi and I will be joining the Saint Olaf Catholic School staff this upcoming year as the new third-grade teacher! I am so excited to be a part of this amazing community that nurtures both the students’ education and faith.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. While there, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of classrooms, collaborate with many inspiring educators, and become motivated by a diverse group of students. Currently, I am continuing my education in the Pacific Alliance for Catholic Education (PACE) program with the University of Portland and pursuing a Masters of Education degree with a focus in Reading Intervention.

I am originally from the beautiful island of O’ahu, in the state of Hawai’i, and I love going home and visiting my family often. I enjoy hiking, swimming, eating good food, and being around the people I love.

I am so grateful to be entering this community and I look forward to meeting you all this fall!

God bless,
Madison Ohashi”
