About Mrs. Pienezza

Tell us about yourself:
I am the Aide in the Pre K class but I can be found working on bulletin boards or subbing other classes in our school too. I grew up in West Valley City, UT and graduated from Cyprus High School. From there I started working multiple full time jobs until I met and married my husband, Joe. We moved to Bountiful and started attending church at Saint Olaf. From the time my children were born I was sure they would attend Saint Olaf's School. I started out volunteering all the time and then was asked to work the evening extended day program. From there I became an aide for Pre K, then Kindergarten, and now Pre K for the past two years. I have also worked a few summers of summer camp at Saint Olaf's! To say I love our school is an understatement. Your children put a huge smile on my face and I am so happy to spend my days with them!.

If you could have lunch with 1 person dead or alive, who would that be and why?
I would have lunch with my great grandmother. I have so many questions I would love to ask her about life!
What is something on your Bucket List?

I would love to go to the Australia Zoo. I have loved Steve Irwin my entire life!

What book have you read that changed you and why?

Honestly the bible has changed me so much. It brings me closer to God and helps me to always try to be the good in the world.

What is your favorite thing about teaching or working with young people?
There are so many wonderful things about working with kids, but the look on their face when something you taught them just clicks is so amazing!
How would a friend describe you in three words?
Caring, Funny, and Giving
If you had to compare yourself to one fictional character, who would it be?

I try really hard not to compare myself to anyone, but I aspire to be like Miss Frizzle everyday!

What is the best BAD decision you ever made?

I quit a job once. I walked right out in the middle of the day. I called a temp agency to try to get a new job as soon as possible, and started working with my now, husband!

When are you most yourself?
I am most myself around my family.
What could you spend all day talking about?
I could spend all day talking about antiques! I love antiques and researching when things were made.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?

When I'm not working I am almost always with my family! I love camping and anything to do with the outdoors, I love thrifting, crafting, and of course napping!
