good evening Santa lost its mystery fall coming to you live from my office will not really live it's a recording but I hope this message finds you well I hope your Summers and started with fun with family with relaxation I hope that you're fine to refill your cups that you are finding time to find joy in all that you do recently I've been spending some time with reading and an author that I used to enjoy and still do Robert Frost and so I'd like to share with you this evening a few Frost poems quickly just a backstory in fourth grade sister Claire made me all of us memorize Robert Frost poems me to stand in front of our classmates and recite the poem and I chose course my favorites this day and I can still hear the poem I can bring in my head and see myself sweating nervously in front of my fourth grade peers as I said house is in the village though and I can still remember the anxiousness I felt in that moment in the excitement the nervousness and all these emotions running through but what I didn't realize was the relationship that sister Claire had created for myself with Robert Frost poetry so I'd like to share Three Palms with you this evening that I've Revisited recently I read them and then just have a quick comment on each so the first one is fireflies in the garden here come real stars to fill the and here on Earth come emulating flies equal stars and signs that heart very star-like start only of course they can sustain the part not for me Frost was like a photographer he could paint a picture for me that was so vivid as a child and even now I can still see the fireflies coming out at dusk in my yard New Hampshire is a child and coming off the pasture and flickering as the sky started to turn dark and the stars starred appear in the sky and there was that moment where you couldn't quite tell if you were lying in the grass which was which I always loved that moment so that some time with recently want to share with you the next was another acquaintance with the night and I'll read this very quickly I have been one acquainted with the night I have walked out in the rain and back in the rain I have out walk the farthest City Light I have looked down the saddest City I have passed the Watchman on his and drop my eyes and willing to explain I have Stood Still and stopped the sound of feet when far away and interrupted came over houses from another street but not to call me back or say goodbye and further still an unearthly height 1 luminary clock against the sky proclaimed the time was due to wrong nor right I have been one acquainted with the night this is one of those poems that you know there's darkness in their sadness here but Frost was often off on a journey he was often walking in the woods and this is one of those poems that we stood out to me because he wasn't walking in the woods he was walking in a city and he was reflecting on his experience the city and for someone who is so connected with nature and so I saw a God in so many pieces of nature I can imagine the sadness as he walked the city streets and as he became a play with the night just a beautiful poem beautiful imagery and the third Palms I wanted to share with you is called tree at my window and then I'll read this to you very quickly as well tree at my window window tree my Sasha was lowered when the Night comes on but let there never be curtain drawn between you and me had lifted out of the ground and the thing next most use the cloud not all your light tongue talking aloud could be profound but tree I see you taken and tossed and if you see me you have seen and all but lost the day she put out her heads together Fate In Her Imagination about her your head so much concerned with the outer mine with inner weather again takes me back to my youth I had a grew up in this old farmhouse creeped you know it's settled when the wind blew number the windowpanes and in my in my house had settled you know the Lord LED glass The Settle glass and settled down this road beautiful big pine trees used too often just sit there and watch the birds and watch the animals and watch them Sway in the Wind I would sit there and imagine this is a child and I have these thoughts of you know the creatures in the tree and the tree and so you know I sit and I read this now I can take you back to that time of my youth and takes me back to that time when I could still imagine I could still dream I could still let go and so that's what I want to end with tonight it's a summertime I hope you're finding things you are enjoying I hope you're reading if you love to read I hope you're going for walks in the woods I hope you're out with friends and family I hope you're spending time doing the things that you love that you cherished I hope that you're feeling York up wherever you can I hope that your actions of drawing you closer to the Lord and that your heart is opening it up to the love of the Lord I hope all of these things for you I said nothing but positivity and love and good wishes to you and to each family in our community I also say to you Summer is a child was a Time of Wonder with a time of what ifs think back to you you think back to the times when you could look ahead and you could say good night never ended you know the days seem to go on forever they're all kinds of things you could imagine doing I think our challenge as we age is to not lose the connection to that wonder do not lose the connection what if moment do not lose the connection to say we could go further we could do more we could imagine greater things and the summer is a time for us to walk in the woods to take time to create to wonder to sit and look at a Starry Sky to make sure that we create the space for each of us were God's love love of God a code through nature can we present for each of us whether it's in a city street in the woods in the mountains at the ocean wherever it needs to be so for me to you I wish you nothing but God's blessings I hope that your spend things that fill your cup and that you love and I hope that you enjoyed the Frost poems that are shared be this evening just as I have in my lifetime and even today I still do thank you Santa Lobster listening goodnight
